Sadie Allen (she/her/hers)
Morrison Art Studio Coordinator, 2021-
Sadie Allen is a sophomore from Saluda, North Carolina with a passion for art, travelling, and fashion. Before starting her education at UNC, she volunteered with the Polk County Library system and wrote on her personal blog. Sadie took a gap year through Campus Y’s Global Gap Year Fellowship, where she lived in Xi’an, China, and Split, Croatia. This experience gave her a strong passion for cultural exchange, as well as fueled her passion for learning about and creating art. Previously, she has worked for Chinese language non-profits, local artists, and the Asheville Art Museum.
At UNC, she is double majoring in Media and Journalism and Studio Art. She is involved with Honors Carolina and Chinese Conversation Club, and she hopes to connect with more organizations in the future. At Arts Everywhere, Sadie is excited to inspire creative expression in all students, whether they are art majors or not! She hopes to foster creativity in the general student body and share the value of art with others.
Emily Netherland (she/her/hers)
Digital Marketing Student Assistant, 2022-2023
Emily is a senior majoring in English and Comparative Literature with a minor in German. She believes that art plays an integral part in creating a thriving campus community.
Emily spends her time outside of work and classes as a small business owner. Her business, Netherland Crafts, sells functional and happy crochet decor. She is also an artist with Student-Made UNC, an organization that promotes student businesses while creating a close-knit community of artists.
In her free time, she likes to tour new exhibits at the Ackland, spend time in the Coker Arboretum, or curl up with a good book and a cup of tea!
Sarah Dwyer (she/her/hers)
Special Projects Coordinator 2022-
Sarah Dwyer (she/her) is a designer, digital and communications project manager, and photographer based in North Carolina. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Library Science at UNC-CH. Her professional practice, which has taken her from shooting courtside at the Dean Dome to facilitating creative media projects in Pre-K through middle school classrooms, centers storytelling as a means of advocacy work — particularly for young people and for women-identifying athletes.
Prior to her current work at Arts Everywhere, Sarah has worked most recently at Duke School, NC Governor’s School, and the American Dance Festival. She graduated with a BA in American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as the Photography Editor for the Daily Tar Heel, mentoring her staff in multimedia literacy and advocated for gender equity in sports journalism.
In her free time, she is an avid reader (#1 recommendation: The Line Tender by Kate Allen) and a huge NC Courage fan.
Erin Wadsworth (she/her/hers)
Digital Marketing Student Assistant, 2021-2022
Erin is a senior majoring in Advertising & Public Relations and Communication Studies with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She’s passionate about the arts and believes there’s a place for everyone in the arts across campus.
Erin’s experience as a high school intern with Artsplosure in Raleigh inspired her to pursue arts opportunities at UNC, which led her to our Arts Ambassador program! After three wonderful years of planning programs, writing blogs, and staffing events, Erin is now working with us as our Digital Marketing Student Assistant.
In her free time, you can find her strolling through Chapel Hill or Raleigh (always on the lookout for new art installations!), grabbing a cup of joe with friends, or producing art for fun. She considers herself an artist (in the sense that everyone is an artist!), occasionally creating collages or picking up a paintbrush and canvas at the Morrison Art Studio.
Nuria Shin (she/her/hers)
Undergraduate Leadership Fellow, 2021-2022
Nuria is a junior from Cary, NC double majoring in Advertising & Public Relations and Voice Performance. Her love for music and marketing has led her to pursue multiple facets of the arts in different capacities.
In addition to her work with Arts Everywhere, Nuria also works as the Communications Coordinator Assistant at the UNC Music Department, and as the Communications Coordinator at City Lyric Opera, an opera company located in New York City with a passion towards making opera more relevant, accessible, and affordable.
When she’s not in class, at work, or in the practice rooms, she likes to take any extra time she can get to catch up with friends, watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or make handmade clay earrings for her small business, Bubs Handmade.
