Join us for Morrison Art Studio’s Arts Everywhere Day project→ A Virtual Mural!
The Project
To celebrate the arts this year on campus, we at Morrison Art Studio want to make a collective project that allows everyone in the UNC community to participate and contribute. Since this year’s Arts Everywhere Day’s theme is reflections, we decided to propose a virtual mural that reflects the UNC community and shares your ideas, cool art projects, and past experiences during 2020 and 2021. Whether you’ve picked up a new hobby or discovered a new talent of yours during this pressing time, we wanted to allow for the mural to be a reflection of your/the Carolina communities’ stories!
How Do I Participate?
There are several ways!
- You can upload a photo to our digital collage- it can be a meaningful selfie, a special picture taken during the pandemic, or a photo of a piece of art you created or are creating
- You can create art directly in the platform itself!
As more and more people share their creations, the mural will become bigger and bigger! Finally, on Friday, April 9th, the final mural will be unveiled to the public as Morrison Art Studio’s AE Day contribution! Together, we can create a beautiful canvas that reflects us!
Please note: Anything with profanity, inciting remarks, negative messaging, or crude/triggering images will be deleted to protect the integrity of the project and the UNC community.
Events
Join us on Wednesday, April 7th at 6:30pm for the Mural Creation Jam Sesh! Here, you’ll be able to work on the mural collage with other mural contributors and listen to some cool beats!
