Hi Everyone! My name is Parker Harris and I am one of the Student Coordinators for Arts Everywhere at UNC. I am a first-year student from Snow Hill, North Carolina studying Dramatic Art and Public Policy.

At the age of 14, I started a youth community theatre group for ages 4-17 in my community called Kids On Stage that is dedicated to bringing to life great stories by great storytellers, on stage and in the community.  We pride ourselves on the fact that the theatre is for everyone, so we have a no-cut policy, meaning that anyone who signs up, receives a role.

Since 2015, we have produced seven musicals, including an original composition, to sellout crowds and engaged over 33 local businesses in our sponsorship program. With an emphasis on building character and service through Kids On Stage we have instilled a true sense of service in our participants.

Outside of Kids On Stage, I am an avid Arts Advocate and am excited to begin working with Arts Everywhere. This year I hope to create and identify resources that will help our student art organizations succeed in bringing the arts to UNC. I also hope that we can work to bring the Chapel Hill community on campus to witness all the incredible work that takes place here.
