Description

The 2022 Eve Marie Carson Lecture series presents Michelle Dorrance, founder and artistic director of the innovative and award-winning tap dance company, Dorrance Dance. Founded in New York City in 2011, Michelle’s mission has been “to honor and expand the tap dance tradition” through educating the next generation of tap dancers and engaging global audiences in various venues. At this year’s Eve Marie Carson Lecture Series, Michelle will both speak and perform for the audience. Anson Dorrance, Michelle’s father and head coach of the UNC women’s championship soccer team celebrating his 44th season, will offer the introduction. We hope you will join us for this engaging performance!

Tickets and More Information

The historic heart of the music department in the College of Arts and Sciences, Hill Hall reopened in 2016 after an 18-month, $15-million renovation. Work centered on improvements to Hill Hall’s 430-seat auditorium and rotunda. The performance space was renamed the James and Susan Moeser Auditorium in honor of the former chancellor and his wife, who are organists and teachers at UNC.
