Charity Concert to Support Ukrainian Front-Line Paramedics: Celebration of Ukrainian Music, Art, & Culture
Description
“Please come with friends, acquaintances, neighbors, and everyone who cares about Ukraine and who wants to learn more about Ukrainian culture to a charity concert of Ukrainian music in Moeser Auditorium.
We hope our event will be interesting and enjoyable. We will display the traditional Ukrainian art as well as very recent artworks (by children and known artists) created during the three months of the war. We will also have a table with some Ukrainian crafts for sale (by donation).
All charitable contributions received at the concert will be spent on the purchase and delivery to the front line of medical equipment needed for the medical volunteer battalion “Hospitallers”. We combine our efforts in helping Ukraine with an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization US Ukrainian Activist.”
This concert is sponsored by the Ukrainian Association of North Carolina and is spearheaded by Dr. Maryna Kapustina (UNC School of Medicine) and presented with the support of the UNC Department of Music and Center for Slavic, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies (CSEEES) at UNC-Chapel Hill. Special thanks to Dr. Andrea Bohlman, Adnan Džumhur, and Jesse Moorefield.
